Things were rarely just business in the hunter world. Situations got personal, everyone knew that. Eliza was content to let it stay at that, to not prod into anything that wasn’t offered. With a small laugh she replied, “Is it ever not complicated in our line of work, Sam?” (Source: lookingformoore) |
Eliza was actually shocked that she hadn’t heard of such a thing in her town. She was off her game obviously. There was no time for it, either. She nodded as she listened on. “Oh, no. I’d be glad to give you back-up. I’m really surprised I hadn’t heard of this sooner.” The rather tense smile on her face faltered. “I’m fine, just a bit tired is all. “I’m sorry. Do I know you?” Eliza shook her head, the fog that had descended upon it lately was distracting her once more. “I’m Eliza in any case.”

Eliza thought over the name. She had never heard of it before. That either meant that it was safe or absolutely dangerous to be talking to this girl. Her fingers started to twitch, itching to hold on to her knife. “Millie. I’m Eliza, Eliza Moore.”

justqueenbee started following you “Um, hey. Nice to meet you, I guess.” Eliza was wary of strangers at the best of times. Lately, though, the strangers she had met were ridiculous. |
